Remember the 1989 Grand Final, when Mark Yeates ran through Dermott Brereton? Brereton got up, had a quick chunder, then moved to the forward pocket, where he soon took a strong mark & kicked a goal. His coach, Allan Jeans said,"It's not how you get knocked down that matters. It's how you get up". The same applies to you. I hope to watch you win some more national titles next year & move onto the London Olympics. All the best, Rod.

Hey Tamsyn,

Hope all has settled since your events. I hope you don't carry the disappointment too long. We all do the best we can in life, and only a tiny fraction of Australians can ever say they went to an Olympics. You're the best in your event in the whole country, and a damn fine person as well.

Winning is easy; it's how we cope with loss that makes us strong. All the best!!

Hi Tamsyn,

Congratulations on your wonderful achievement. I have only just been able to see the entire race on Fox last week after the slack effort by the news organisations of showing the last 10 mtrs or so. What a great effort. I have never stopped believing in you and wish you every success in the future.

My Best regards

Hi Tamsyn,
I too have followed your career for a long time.
Albeit via tv and media. I was in Brisbane earlier this year, where you competed in the 400m. First time for me to observe you on the track in a live meet.I recall feeling the energy you radiate with your presence, and the grace you exude on the track. It was a highlight for me to see a true sweetheart at her craft, and i look forward to seeing you compete in Beijing.
You can do it!

Hi Tamsyn,

Having followed your career over the past 8 years I can only say "Congratulations!" Aside from your extraordinary talent and work ethic, you are the nicest, most warm, down to earth olympian I've ever seen. I wish you many years of continued sporting success, as well as a lifetime of happiness. You're a doll.

Best
